Sudbury assault suspect arrested, police still looking to ID two people

Sudbury police unveil strategic plan Sudbury police unveiled its strategic direction Wednesday, outlining where police will focus for the next three years.

Sudbury police arrested a 30-year-old man on Jan. 4 who was wanted on two outstanding arrest warrants for two separate assaults that took place on Dec. 1 – one involving a shovel, said the Greater Sudbury Police Service on ‘X,’ formerly Twitter.

The accused is facing multiple charges including assault and assault with a weapon.

“We are still requesting assistance to identify two individuals involved in one of the assaults,” said police, in the release news release.

Anyone with information about the assaults or whereabouts or the identity of the other two suspects is asked to call GSPS at 705-675-9171 or Crime Stoppers at 705-222-8477.

The charges have not been proven in court.
