Science North is reopening doors Monday morning after crews worked around the clock to repair and clean up damage caused by a water line break that occurred last Wednesday, which resulted in flooding and other damages between the main lobby and small snowflake building.
“On behalf of our Board I want to thank all of the Science North staff, our service providers and contractors who pulled together for the safety and cleanliest for our visitors. I also want to thank them for their speed and professionalism in ensuring we are fully operational,” said Guy Labine, Science North CEO.
Ongoing repairs will be necessary, but will not affect the visitor’s experience.
Scott Lund, Chair of the Board added, “the support from the community has been wonderful and we appreciate the understanding of our visitors”.
