Sault police seek information, video on Dennis Street shooting

Police in Sault Ste. Marie are appealing for information after Monday's shooting left a person with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police in Sault Ste. Marie are still looking for the suspect in the March 30 shooting in the city and are asking the public for help.

One person suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the early morning shooting on Dennis Street, which was reported at 2:45 a.m.

“At this time, no arrests have been made,” police said in a news release April 1.

“Investigators believe this to be an isolated incident with no ongoing risk to public safety.”

Investigators are hoping to hear from anyone with information or video footage from the 100 block of Dennis Street between 11:30 p.m. on March 29 to 12:30 a.m. on March 30, 2026.

Police are also seeking footage from the area of Third Line East at Avery Drive and the surrounding area from 2-3 a.m. on March 30.
