Detectives and officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service raided a resident on Pim Street last week, arresting two people and seizing suspected drugs, phones, scales, other drug trafficking paraphernalia along with thousands of dollars in cash.
In January 2025, detectives began a drug investigation involving a 46-year-old Sault man living in a multi-unit residential complex in the 400 block of Pim Street, police said in a news release.
“On Jan. 22, detectives executed a search warrant at a unit, belonging to (him,)” said Sault police.
“Seven individuals were located inside the residence; five of whom were released unconditionally.”
The initial individual of interest along with a 47-year-old woman were both arrested at the scene.
“A search of the (man’s) residence located approximately four grams of suspected cocaine, less than one gram of suspected methamphetamine, digital scales, cellular devices, debt books, packaging materials, a cutting agent and $65 in Canadian currency,” said police.
“A subsequent search of the (man) found them to be in possession of approximately $6,335 in Canadian currency (and) a search of the (woman) located approximately two grams of suspected methamphetamine.”
Police estimate the street value of the drugs seized as $776.

As a result, the male accused was charged with possession of property obtained by crime, drug possession and drug trafficking while the female was charged with only drug possession.
The male accused was held pending a bail hearing and the female was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear on court on March 17.
