A 35-year-old Sault man has been charged with assault and failing to comply with a probation order.

911 operators received a report of “an unwanted person at a business” in the 100 block of Great Northern Road on Sunday, police said in a news release.

“Officers were dispatched to the business,” said the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service.

“An investigation revealed the accused had pushed a security officer several times while being escorted out of the building.”

Police said no physical injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

The suspect was arrested and is now charged with assault and three counts of failing to comply with a probation order.

The accused was held beings a bail hearing.
