Two Manitoba teens along with a local resident are facing criminal charges following a raid on a home in Sandy Lake First Nation in northwestern Ontario on Wednesday, police say.
Police said the three arrests follow an investigation into drug trafficking in the community.
On March 6 just before 7:40 a.m., members of the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service (NAPS) a search warrant at a residential address.
Police said one suspect was located and arrested at the scene before police entered the home. Two other suspects were taken into custody from within the home – without incident.
“A search of the home led to the seizure of about $30,000, a quantity of suspected cocaine and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking,” said NAPS in a news release.
As a result of the investigation, a 43-year-old resident of Sandy Lake First Nation along with an 18-year-old and a 19-year-old man Winnipeg, Man. have all been charged with possession of property obtained by crime. The youngest is also facing an additional charge for faiing to complay with an undertaking.

The three accused were remanded into custody following a bail hearing on March 7.
None of the allegations has been proven in court.
