A police investigation closed highways in Cochrane, Ont. for several hours Sunday night, according to Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) social media posts.
“Highway 574 in Cochrane, Ont.: the road is closed in both directions at Highway 652 due to police investigation,” said police.
“OPP on scene.”
The Ministry of Transportation’s 511 Traveller Information Service shows the road closure began shortly after 6:30 p.m.
OPP announced it reopened the road at 11:14 p.m. on social media.
Police have not provided the reason they closed road had to be closed or the nature of their ongoing investigation.
OPP urge motorists to call 511 or visit the 511 Traveller Information Service website for the latest traffic updates.
