Police investigate suspicious death in Timmins

Timmins police were called to Algonquin Boulevard & Preston Street at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday to investigate a suspicious death.

There will be an increased police presence Wednesday near Algonquin Boulevard and Preston Street in Timmins as police investigate a suspicious death.

The report came in around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday evening, police said in a news release.

“This occurrence is being actively investigated by the Timmins Police Service criminal investigation division,” the release said.

“The Timmins Police Service would like to assure the public that this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety at this time.”

“The Timmins Police Service will provide further updates as they become available,” the release said.
