An important moment for a species in danger was caught on video at the International Bridge in Sault Ste. Marie.

The bridge has been home to peregrine falcons since 1999.

Nesting boxes were installed in 2010 and this week, the peregrines successfully hatched two eggs.

It is great news because the peregrine falcon is listed as a species-at-risk in Ontario and endangered in Michigan.

The International Bridge administration has a new live falcon cam on the nest which caught the chicks hatching.

You can find a link to the live nest-cam or the full video of the hatching under Related Links.
