Parry Sound bust nets $12K in drugs, $13K in cash

A southern Ontario resident has been charged following an investigation into the drug trade by police in Parry Sound.

The 23-year-old suspect from Etobicoke was arrested Aug. 13 on Great North Road. Ontario Provincial Police seized drugs believed to be cocaine, crystal meth and fentanyl worth $12,000, along with $13,000 in cash.

The suspect has been charged with multiple drug trafficking charges and possession of property obtained by crime worth more than $5,000.

The accused was held for bail at the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound and is scheduled to appear on Sept. 5.
