A joint investigation by the North Bay Police Service and the Criminal Intelligence Service Ontario has resulted in the arrest of 10 individuals and the seizure of illegal drugs with an estimated street value of $92,000.
The investigation, which began in 2024, targeted drug trafficking in the region. Between Jan. 30 and Feb. 4 of this year, police arrested 10 people and laid multiple charges, including drug possession, trafficking and production – a total of 77 charges.
Among those arrested are a 39-year-old woman from Callander, a 42-year-old woman from North Bay, 52-year-old North Bay man and a 54-year-old man from North Bay, all facing multiple counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking. The 54-year-old man is also charged with producing a Schedule I substance, trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000, among other offences.
A 50-year-old North Bay man faces the most charges, including eight counts of drug trafficking and eight counts of possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000 along with one additional charge.
The other accused are a 25-year-old woman, a 26-year-old woman, a 32-year-old man, a 35-year-old and a 56-year-old man all from North Bay.
Two additional suspects remain at large and are wanted on charges related to drug trafficking, production and possession of proceeds of crime.
During the investigation, police seized a significant quantity of illegal drugs, including approximately 597 grams of suspected cocaine, 116 grams of suspected fentanyl, 17 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, and 113 suspected hydromorphone pills.

Police also seized also confiscated approximately $13,300 in Canadian currency and drug trafficking equipment.
“The successful completion of this investigation was made possible through funding provided by the Ontario Government, Ministry of the Solicitor General, in which the Criminal Intelligence Service Ontario supported this investigation,” the North Bay Police Service said in a news release.
The accused individuals are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
