A 38-year-old Elliot Lake man is facing multiple charges after the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed an arrest warrant at a Hillside Drive South residence last week.

According to East Algoma OPP, the arrest followed an investigation into the individual’s failure to comply with conditions of a previous release order. The accused had also failed to attend court and provide fingerprints as required.

“These orders were from previous charges of obstruct police, public mischief and unauthorized possession of a weapon,” said police in a news release.

Police attended the residence on Feb. 27 and took the man into custody.
