A 38-year-old Elliot Lake man is facing multiple charges after the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed an arrest warrant at a Hillside Drive South residence last week.
According to East Algoma OPP, the arrest followed an investigation into the individual’s failure to comply with conditions of a previous release order. The accused had also failed to attend court and provide fingerprints as required.
“These orders were from previous charges of obstruct police, public mischief and unauthorized possession of a weapon,” said police in a news release.
Police attended the residence on Feb. 27 and took the man into custody.

The accused now faces additional charges of failing to comply with an undertaking, failing to attend for fingerprints, and failing to attend court.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail on Friday.
