A 26-year-old driver has been charged following a collision Thursday in Sault Ste. Marie.
Police were called around 5:30 p.m. to respond to a crash on Broadview Street,
“Communicators received a report of a driver who had driven through a snowbank, crashed into a parked car on Broadview Street, and driven away erratically,” Sault police said in a news release Friday.
“Officers were dispatched to the area and conducted a traffic stop of the suspected driver in the area of Second Line West and Goulais Avenue.”
Officers administered a roadside sobriety test, which indicated the driver was impaired. Charges include dangerous driving, impaired driving and driving while suspended.
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 12.
