Ontario Provincial Police in West Nipissing have charged a 46-year-old from Greater Sudbury following reports of a road rage incident Sunday on Highway 17.

Police responded around 1:30 p.m. to a traffic complaint on Cache Street in the community.

“It was reported that two vehicles had been involved in a road rage incident on Highway 17 and pulled onto Cache Street and stopped,” the OPP said in a news release Tuesday.

“One driver exited the vehicle and damaged the rear window while uttering a threat to harm the other driver.”

The 46-year-old from Walden has been charged with mischief under $5,000 and uttering threats.

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on July 4.
