A domestic disturbance in Temiskaming Shores has resulted in multiple charges against a 50-year-old Kirkland Lake resident – including spousal assault.

The incident occurred Wednesday, at approximately 8:15 a.m., when members of the Ontario Provincial Police Temiskaming detachment responded to a call regarding a domestic disturbance at a residence on Marcella Street.

“The OPP located a person on foot, walking away from the residence and arrested them for assault,” said police in news release.

Further investigation by the officers resulted in additional charges.

The 50-year-old now faces charges of spousal assault, four counts of breaching a conditional sentence order and failing to comply with a probation order.

The accused will be held in custody pending a bail hearing in Haileybury on Feb 18.
