B.C. man charged after Hwy. 11 commercial vehicle crash

A commercial motor vehicle was involved in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 11, which has led to charges for a B.C. man.

“A driver whose licence was suspended (was) involved in a single motor vehicle collision,” OPP said in a news release.

On April 3 at about 3:35 a.m., Ontario Provincial Police responded to a crash in Otto Township.

Police said officers arrived to find a commercial motor vehicle in the ditch but there were no injuries to the driver or passenger.

As a result of the investigation, police learned that the driver’s licence was suspended in Ontario.

The 28-year-old man from Abbotsford, B.C., was charged with driving while under suspension.

The accused is scheduled to appear in court in Kirkland Lake on June 9 to answer the charge.
