Yvonne Raymond
Yvonne Raymond can’t remember a time when she didn’t want to be a journalist. From print ambitions in Grade 1 to radio hopes by high school, choosing the medium was the hard part. The pace and challenge of acquiring and using video to tell stories is what sold her on television.
The prairie girl joined CTV Vancouver Island in the fall of 2013, based out of the station’s mid-island bureau in Nanaimo. She brings broadcast experience from Red Deer, Winnipeg and Medicine Hat, and is now enjoying life in Victoria.
Yvonne has also written for print publications, including Canada’s History Magazine, and is a self-published author. She wrote an award-winning book about her hometown called 'Lockout: Exploring the rich history and uncertain future of Powerview-Pine Falls.'

When she’s not at work, Yvonne loves travelling, spending time with family and exploring the many trails Vancouver Island has to offer
