Three vehicles were completely damaged in a suspicious fire in Montreal North early Friday morning. Montreal police (SPVM) received a 911 call at 4:15 a.m. about the incident on Racette Avenue near Industriel Boulevard. “When the police arrived on the scene, they found two vehicles on fire, and requested the assistance of the Montreal Fire Department,” said Caroline Chèvrefils, a spokesperson with Montreal police. “According to the first information, one or more suspects would have set the vehicles on fire and then fled the scene before the arrival of police.” She adds that incendiary materials were found on site, and a total of three cars were damaged. “All of them are total losses,” said Chèvrefils. “There is minor damage to the building.” No arrests have been made. The investigation has been transferred to the Montreal police arson unit.
