Two men, aged 17 and 20, are in hospital after a stabbing on Montreal’s South Shore on Tuesday evening. Longueuil police (SPAL) received a 911 call at 7:30 p.m. about an alleged assault near a business in Boucherville. When officers arrived at the scene, they located the two victims. They were transported to hospital, and their lives are not considered to be in danger. “The SPAL’s investigation led us to the beach on Île Charron,” the force adds. “The area was quickly secured, and a police operation is still underway.” Police note that a “person of interest” is in custody and is expected to meet with investigators sometime during the day. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to anonymously call police at 450-646-8500.
