A 50-year-old man is in hospital after a stabbing inside an apartment in Montreal’s Rosemont-la-Petite-Patrie borough early Tuesday morning.
Montreal police (SPVM) received a 911 call at 2:30 a.m. about the incident.
“According to information that was obtained onsite by police officers, the victim had an altercation inside an apartment, and during that altercation, he was stabbed,” said Jean-Pierre Brabant, a spokesperson with Montreal police.
The victim was transported to hospital, where his life is not considered to be in danger.
“After the altercation, the suspect left the premises before officers arrived,” said Brabant. “As soon as the victim is able to meet with police, we will meet with him.”
There have been no arrests.
A security perimeter has been established to allow investigators to canvass the scene.
