Four teenagers have been arrested after a man was stabbed and killed inside a Walmart in Montreal North on Tuesday. “The arrests were made (Wednesday). We’re talking about four males, aged 15 years old,” said Jean-Pierre Brabant, a spokesperson with Montreal police. “They will appear in court to (face) different accusations.” The arrests come after a 22-year-old man died when he was stabbed inside the big-box store near the intersection of Henri-Bourassa and Lacordaire boulevards. The incident happened while shoppers, including Neeham Khalid and his mother, were inside. “I saw someone was on the ground, and then someone was running from one employee to get the bag of first aid kit,” he tells CTV News. Khalid adds that he then saw a group of teenagers run out of the store. “I thought it was just teenagers being teenagers because that’s how they are, just run around,” he said. “But then maybe a minute later, I heard someone scream.” A source tells CTV News that the victim is Geovani Ray Robbins. Police note the victim was injured in the upper body with a “sharp object” during an altercation with a group of individuals. He was transported to hospital, where his death was confirmed. “There were a lot of witnesses that were inside that business and outside,” said Brabant. “With all the information that was obtained, we were able to find those four teenagers.” He notes that the motive behind the attack remains unclear. The case is considered the ninth homicide on Montreal police territory for 2026.
