Two men dead after collision in Longueuil

Two men in their 30s were seriously injured in a collision on Montreal's South Shore.

Two men in their 30s died after a collision in Longueuil on Montreal’s South Shore early Tuesday morning.

Longueuil police (SPAL) says the incident occurred at 1:15 a.m. near Marie-Victorin and Jean-Paul-Vincent boulevards.

The two men were rushed to hospital in critical condition, where they later died.

Kesly François, 34, was a resident of Montreal’s South Shore. The second victim was identified as Tangly Thomson, 39, from Montreal.

Both men were known to police for criminal offences, said SPAL spokesperson François Boucher.

“The vehicle was heavily damaged,” said Boucher. “The exact circumstances leading up to the collision have yet to be established.”

Boucher adds that it was a single vehicle incident.

An investigation is underway.
