Quebec City police (SPVQ) officers assisted paramedics with the child at around 2:18 p.m. at a residence on Bernatchez Avenue in the Vanier sector of the city.
“Police officers and paramedics rushed to the scene, and the child was quickly transported to a hospital where his condition is currently considered stable,” the SPVQ said in a news release. “The three-year-old child is believed to have ingested a liquid drug and is now safe.
