Longueuil police are seeking more potential victims of Abdelmalek Salhi, a veterinarian charged with four counts of sexual assault.

Longueuil police (SPAL) are asking the public’s help in identifying potential victims of a 61-year-old man who has been charged with four counts of sexual assault.

Abdelmalek Salhi was arrested on Feb. 28, following reports of alleged sexual assaults that occurred between 2020 and 2021 in Longueuil, according to investigators.

In a press release, the SPAL said it believes Salhi may have committed further sexual offences against other victims.

“Currently residing in Carignan, the accused allegedly used his position as a veterinarian at a Longueuil veterinary clinic to come into contact with additional potential

victims,” Longueuil police said.

Authorities said multiple victims have already been identified, and additional charges may be laid.

Anyone with information should contact Longueuil police at 450-646-8500 or submit a report online via Info-Azimut | Ville de Longueuil.
