A pedestrian who was struck by a bus in Longueuil on Tuesday evening has died. Longueuil police say the collision happened at around 6:20 p.m. near the intersection of Taschereau Boulevard and Saint-Charles Road in the Greenfield Park district. At the scene, what appeared to be an electric wheelchair was wedged into the front bumper of the bus. The pedestrian, a 67-year-old man, was sent to hospital in critical condition. However, police confirmed on Wednesday afternoon that he died from his injuries. Police said the investigation into the collision is ongoing.
