There were no reported injuries after shots were fired at a home in Dollard-des-Ormeaux (DDO) on Montreal’s West Island early Tuesday morning.

Montreal police (SPVM) received several 911 calls at 1:20 a.m. about the gunfire on Papillon Street near Hyman.

“More than one projectile impact was located on the garage door of a residence,” said Caroline Chèvrefils, a spokesperson with Montreal police. “According to the first information we have, the gunshots were possibly fired from a moving vehicle that left the scene before the arrival of the police.”

Chèvrefils points out that on Feb. 1, a vehicle was set on fire at the same location.

There have been no arrests.

A security perimeter has been established to allow investigators and the K9 unit to canvass the scene.
