One man is dead and another one is in custody after armed assault at a house party on Montreal’s South Shore.
Longueuil police (SPAL) said they received a 911 call at around 6 a.m. Thursday and responded to De Bresolettes Street in Boucherville, Que., where someone had several lacerations.
“The individual was quickly located and had significant injuries to the upper body,” the SPAL said.
Police added that the fight appears to have happened inside the house. The 24-year-old victim, who is not known to police, was sent to hospital in critical condition where he later died of his injuries.
A 21-year-old man was arrested but no charges have been laid as of 1:30 p.m.
The police investigation is ongoing.
