Longueuil police (SPAL) were called to a fire in progress at a residence in Brossard Thursday night. A 911 call was received around 9 p.m. reporting the fire on Castello Street. Police said the fire was brought under control by firefighters. There were residents present at the scene, but no one was injured. According to authorities, evidence at the scene suggests the fire was a criminal act. A crime scene has been set up, and SPAL investigators will examine the scene to continue the investigation. No traffic disruptions were reported. No arrests have been made.
