Armed assault: Woman critically injured in Saint-Hubert

A woman is in critical condition after a dispute escalated at a residence in Saint-Hubert, in Longueuil.

Longueuil police (SPAL) responded to the home on Montée Saint-Hubert around 3:15 a.m. Sunday.

The victim, a woman in her twenties, knew her attacker, a man of a similar age.

Their conflict escalated into a physical altercation that led to an armed assault.

When SPAL officers arrived, the woman was transported to hospital, where she remains in critical condition.

The man was arrested and could face charges of aggravated assault.
