17-year-old stabbed in Montreal’s Plateau

A 17-year-old boy was stabbed in Montreal's Plateau and taken to the hospital where he's expected to recover.

Police say a 17-year-old was stabbed in Montreal’s Plateau Mont-Royal borough Tuesday evening. His injuries are not life threatening.

Montreal police received several calls about the incident near the corner of D’Iberville and Marianne around 5 p.m. They found the victim with injuries to his lower body.

Witnesses told police the teenager was attacked during a dispute involving several people who fled the scene before officers arrived.

An investigation is ongoing.
