Two more victims have been targeted in a string of sexual assaults and indecent exposures that Saanich Police believe are the work of one man.

Both incidents occurred in Mount Doug Park at around 5 p.m. Monday.

Police say a man followed a woman into a ladies washroom next to the park's parking lot, taking the stall next to her.

The man was then seen masturbating outside of the washroom after the woman left.

A short while later, a man on a bike groped another woman on a nearby trail.

In both cases, the suspect was described as an 18 to 25-year-old white man with blond or brown hair.

“The physical descriptors are consistent," said Sgt. Chris Horsley. "We’re dealing with a younger, we believe Caucasian male. Given that this person is not afraid to confront people, not afraid to enter the women’s washroom, we obviously want to have this person identified.”

Police believe the suspect description matches up with a series of similar incidents that took place in the Gordon Head neighbourhood over the last two weeks.

In those incidents, women were targeted by a young white man on a bike or a skateboard who either exposed himself or groped them in a sexual manner.

The suspect was thought to have taken a "brief respite" following last week's assaults before the two incidents Monday, according to police.

"The behaviour for a young person doing this often leads to an escalation, and we certainly don’t want that to happen where someone could get significantly hurt," Horsley said.

There have been 11 incidents in total linked to the lone suspect dating back to June 13.

Anyone who has information on the assaults is asked to call police at 250-475-4321.
