Police and the BC Coroners Service are investigating the discovery of human remains near a Malahat Highway rest stop.
RCMP and search and rescue vehicles could be seen at the Arbutus rest stop on the highway’s summit Friday as crews probed the grisly discovery.
It’s unclear who discovered the remains or how long they had been there.
CTV News viewers reported traffic was moving very slowly near the search site on the arterial route.
Police have not said whether the death is considered suspicious.
