BC Ferries' new Salish Orca vessel arrives in B.C.

A new B.C. ferry is expected to reach the province's shores today.

The Salish Orca will cap off its 50-day journey from the Polish shipyard that won the construction contract in 2014.

The ferry is expected to start serving the Comox-Powell River route this spring.

Two more vessels were promised in the $165-million contract and they are expected to enter service later this year.
