The city of Victoria has served notice that the exemption period for compliance with its cannabis regulations has expired.
Legal proceedings will be launched against any marijuana retailer that hasn't applied for a business license or a rezoning under rules that took effect last November, the city said in a release.
Thirty-three cannabis retailers have applied for a business license and 23 have applied for rezoning, the release said.
But it also noted 16 have not yet applied for rezoning and one has not asked for a business license.
