‘Unsettled’ weather heading into the long weekend

CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison says Thursday will start cool but sunny, and we'll see temps rise this afternoon.

Thursday morning will be cold but sunny across the London, Ont. region, with double-digit temperatures expected by the afternoon.

“There’s increasing cloud cover Thursday night into Friday with some showers moving in,” explained CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison. “The holiday (Good Friday) looks a little unsettled. We’ll see some peaks of sunshine but [there is] a chance for rainfall.”

While a bit wet, extreme warmth will be moving into southern Ontario that day.

“Temperatures are set to soar in the afternoon,” said Atchison. “We could daytime highs reaching between 20 and 22 degrees.”

Thursday: Sunny. Fog patches dissipating in the morning. Wind becoming southeast 20 km/h in the afternoon. High 13.

Thursday night: Clear. Partly cloudy before morning with 60 per cent chance of showers. Wind southeast 20 km/h. Low plus 4.

Friday: Cloudy with 60 per cent chance of showers. Windy. High 22.

Saturday: Cloudy with 40 per cent chance of showers. High 14.

Sunday: A mix of sun and cloud. High 12.

Monday: Cloudy with 60 per cent chance of showers. High 13.
