An incredibly tight vote on the company’s latest offer has approximately 70 Bluewater Recycling Association employees voting again before a possible strike on Monday.

Teamsters 879 officials told CTV News unionized employees at the recycling and waste sorting and collection company, will likely re-vote on the company’s latest offer on Saturday.

The Bluewater Recycling Association collects garbage and recycling from 23 municipalities across Huron, Perth, Lambton, and Middlesex Counties.

Union officials said employees will technically be in a strike position Friday at 6 p.m., but won’t actually hit the picket lines if they do strike, until Monday morning.

Possibly contingency plans for waste and recycling collection, within those 23 municipalities, have not yet been made public.
