Blizzard-like conditions didn’t stop two people from stealing a snow plow and giving chase, according to police.

Around 3:05 a.m. on Tuesday, a plow was reported stolen from Owen Sound and was headed towards Saugeen Shores.

Police found the vehicle on Doll Sideroad in Port Elgin but when they tried to stop it, the vehicle fled — because of the weather conditions, the vehicle was not pursued.

The truck was then seen on County Road 3 and a tire deflation device was used, but the truck kept going on to Highway 21.

Police said the vehicle was soon abandoned and officers began to track the suspects through the snow.
