PLAYOFF TRACKER: Knights set to sweep Erie in series with a win on Thursday

The London Knights are on the verge of their second consecutive playoff sweep.

The London Knights are on the verge of their second consecutive playoff sweep after a 4-0 win over the Erie Otters in Pennsylvania Tuesday night.

Almost the entirety of their offense came in the final minute of the first period, when they scored three goals in a matter of 31 seconds.

Easton Cowan, Landon Sim and Jacob Julien all secured goals in rapid succession. The fourth and final goal of the game was the Knights’ Kasper Halttunen’s, bringing the Knights to their final score of 4-0.

Knights goalie Austin Elliott was named the games first star, stopping all 23 of the shots he faced, and earning his first shutout of the playoffs.

The Knights have dominated Erie so far, beating them 6-3 and 7-2 in the first two games of the series.

The series stays in Erie for game four Thursday night. A win would send the Knights to the OHL’s final four for the third straight season.
