Perth County explosion and fire not suspicious: Ontario fire marshal

The scene of a fire and explosion has been released back to the property owner after an incident on Oct. 31.

Around 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Perth OPP and West Perth fire responded to a report of a fire and explosion at a home on Perth Road 163 in Fullerton.

According to police, the fire was quickly put out, but the home was heavily damaged from the explosion.

The ho me was empty at the time of the incident, and no one was hurt.

The Ontario Fire Marshal was called into investigate and has said the incident is not suspicious.

Perth Road 163 was temporarily closed while emergency services responded but has since reopened.
