London teen charged after alleged knife threat and assault

A London teen is charged after a disturbance at a restaurant on Friday night.

Around 9:30 p.m., police said a group of teenagers were asked to leave the business in the area of North Centre Road and Fanshawe Park Road East, because they were disturbing other customers.

According to police, a teenaged boy started arguing with the employee before allegedly assaulting him and threatening him with a knife.

When a second employee intervened, police said the teen threw a water bottle at him before fleeing the area on foot.

Officers found and arrested the youth not far from where the incident took place.

No injuries were reported.

A 16 year old who cannot be named under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, assault and disobeying order of the court.
