Clouds move in tonight, sunshine returns Friday

Reta Ismail has the latest forecast for the London region

Clouds will start to increase this evening in advance of a weather system that is expected to swing through overnight tonight int Friday morning.

“Now the good news is it’s not packing a lot in the way of moisture. Our high for today is expected to reach seven degrees right around seasonal. We’ve had a lot of sunshine so far today. Record high 19 in 1953,” said CTV News London’s Reta Ismail.

Some spotty drizzle is possible more so throughout Grey and Bruce counties but for the rest of us, again, light periods of rainfall overnight — you won’t even notice by the time you wake up will break into sunshine for your Friday around noon.

It will be a little bit of a chilly start to your Saturday and Sunday but recovering nicely, especially Sunday.

“We’re expecting to hit double digit daytime high... Lots of sunshine for Sunday. If you haven’t put up those Christmas lights Sunday is the day to do so,” said Ismail.

Thursday night: Cloudy. 60 per cent chance of drizzle late this evening and overnight. Wind becoming southwest 20 km/h after midnight. Low plus 3.

Friday: Cloudy with 60 per cent chance of showers in the morning. Clearing late in the afternoon. Wind west 20 km/h gusting to 40 becoming light late in the afternoon. High 9.

Saturday: A mix of sun and cloud with 30 per cent chance of rain showers or flurries. High plus 5.

Sunday: Sunny. High 11.

Monday: Sunny. High 8.

Tuesday: Cloudy with 70 per cent chance of rain. High 9.
