A logging truck rolled over on Highway 14 near Sooke, spilling its load and shutting down the highway in both directions Tuesday.

RCMP say they were called to the crash, about 13 kilometres west of Otter Point Road, at 1:15 p.m.

Pictures from the scene posted to a local Facebook group show logs strewn about the highway and the truck on its side.

Drive BC said the road had been reopened to single-lane alternating traffic at around 3:20 p.m.

RCMP did not confirm reports that the driver of the truck was trapped inside after the rollover.

The driver’s current condition is unknown.
