Children report being followed by men in taxi in Guelph

Guelph Police are investigating after two children reported being followed by two men in a taxi on Friday afternoon.

Police were called just after 4 p.m. to the area of Paisley Road and Stephanie Drive. An 11-year-old boy told officers he and his younger sister were walking home from school when a black taxi pulled up beside them and the driver greeted them.

The children ignored the driver, who then drove away, but returned shortly after, making a U-turn and parking nearby. The taxi reportedly stopped in front of their house until they went inside.

The vehicle is described as a black sedan with a white taxi sign on the roof and white lettering on the sides. The driver is described as a male in his 40s with a medium build, grey or white hair and wearing black and grey clothing. The passenger was described as a white male in his early 30s with a slim build and dirty blonde hair.
