Wellington resident charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm: OPP

A resident from Wellington Township is facing two charges as part of an assault investigation.

Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police were called to an address in Centre Wellington Township for a disturbance around 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

When officers arrived, they arrested a 33-year-old from Centre Wellington Township. The resident was charged with assault and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
