Weather warnings in effect for Waterloo Region, Guelph, Brant County and Stratford

Environment Canada has issued multiple weather warnings across southwestern Ontario, affecting Waterloo Region, Guelph, Brant County and Stratford.

Waterloo Region, Guelph and Brant County have weather travel advisories in effect lasting until the evening. Environment Canada is reporting brief bursts of heavy flurries through Wednesday morning, with northwestern winds at speeds of nearly 70 km/h, which could cause blowing and drifting snow. Visibility may quickly reduce at times.

Stratford was issued a snow squall warning until Wednesday night. Environment Canada reports there could be 15 to 25 centimetres of snowfall in the area. Winds will gust up to 70 km/h which could cause blowing snow and significantly reduced visibility. At times, they warn that visibility could be close to zero.

Environment Canada says to prepare for worsening travelling conditions in all areas. They recommend drivers slow down, watch for tail lights and be prepared to stop.
