Police investigate armed robbery at Kitchener store

The Waterloo Regional Police Service is investigating an early morning armed robbery at a store in Kitchener.

At around 5:10 a.m. Monday, police responded to a report of a robbery at a store in the area of Westwood Drive and Westmount Road West.

“An unknown male entered the store, pointed a knife at an employee and demanded cash,” police said in a media release. “The male then exited the store and fled the area.”

Nobody was harmed during the incident.

Police said the suspect was described as a Black man, around 6′0″, with long black hair. The suspect was wearing black pants, a black sweater, a black puffy jacket, sunglasses and a blue medical mask.
