A Guelph woman is facing charges for allegedly attacking her friend with a drill and clay planter.

Guelph Police said the unnamed woman called in her friend’s injuries on Feb. 17.

Officers learned the man in his 50s had been visiting the woman, who “abruptly” picked up a clay planter and hit him, leaving a significant gash on his head.

Police said the woman also hit him on the head twice with a drill.

The man then ran out of the home.

He later went to the hospital to get medical treatment for his injuries.

A 39-year-old Guelph woman was arrested Thursday for assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm.
