A driver was arrested Friday after allegedly causing multiple crashes Friday evening.

Waterloo Regional Police said they were called to the area of Lowrey Avenue South and Ballantyne Avenue at around 7:10 p.m., for a driver who appeared impaired.

Police said when they arrived, they found a black Tesla matching the description they were given. When they tried to stop the vehicle, the driver crashed into a police cruiser.

No one was hurt.

Police said they were able to stop the driver and arrest them. After further investigation they determined the vehicle was also connected to another crash that happened earlier on Concession Street.

A 29-year-old woman from Cambridge was arrested and charged with impaired by alcohol, failure to stop after an accident, flight from police officer, and dangerous operation.
