HPPH report three new measles exposures in community

Huron Perth Public Health (HPPH) is advising the community of three new measles exposures.

The exposures occurred at the following locations, dates and times:

Veky’s International Cuisine | 245 Main St. E., Listowel

• Saturday April 19, 2025 from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Stratford General Hospital – Emergency Department | 46 General Hospital Dr., Stratford

• Tuesday, April 22, 2025, from 3:49 p.m. to Wednesday, April 23, 2025, 6:31 p.m.

Stratford General Hospital – Ultrasound Department | 46 General Hospital Dr., Stratford

• Wednesday, April 23, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Anyone who was at these locations during these timeframes needs to monitor for measles signs and symptoms for 21 days after exposure.

If you/your family member were present at any of the locations during these timeframes and:

• You/your family member were born in or after 1970 and have not received two doses of measles-containing vaccines OR
• You/your family member are at high risk of severe measles illness (compromised immunity, pregnant, or less than 12 months old) Visit https://bit.ly/ExposureAssessment to complete a measles exposure self-assessment.

This includes those who were present at the location only briefly as measles is highly contagious and can linger in the air for up to two hours.
