Here are some of the local candidates running in the federal election

Liberal Leader Mark Carney has triggered an election and Canadians are set to go to the polls on April 28.

Below is a list of candidates for four major parties that have been announced as of 3 p.m. on March 26. Official candidate lists will be posted by Elections Canada on April 9 after candidate nominations close on April 7 at 2 p.m. The official lists will be available on elections.ca.

Here are the local ridings CTV Kitchener will follow during the election. The candidates are listed in alphabetical order by last name.
